mike, i don't think ben's issue has anything at all to do with purses.
the fact is, texas folks have 6 national event deals they can attend within a few hundred miles of each other. central/norcal guys have 1 within 500 (in ca., maybe), and firebird is no closer for them than it is for texas folks. that isn't a complaint, or a bitch, that's just the way things are. the loss of redbluff and chowchilla is a huge blow. some are trying to do something to help with the situation, but it's a steep mountain to climb.
There is also 5 races at Bakersfield that the central and northern Calif guys can run.They are Lucas sponsored also. [Big Applause]
