Joe Don, I heard about it earlier today as well. The article said that he went to the hospital after feeling "ill" and was sent home a while later and then he passed.
Sad stuff....

JT, thanks, I talked to RFC Craig and he said that he had an anuerysm (Sp) and died in his sleep, very good way to go if you get to pick one. My thoughts and prayers are with Tom's family and friends.

Didn't know Tom by any means just saw him run at the Finals last year. But from what I heard we have lost another legend in Dragboat Racing. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

This is horrible news, Tom was definitely a legend and a great guy!! I had the pleasure of racing against him. Thought's and prayers to the Wright family.

I just can not believe it! Tom was a special racer, so nice and kind hearted. I had the pleasure of running beside him on his last pass. We talked afterwards at the awards. I spotted him sitting by himself on a golf cart. I went over and we shared our pleasures of racing with each other and he said he thought he was done racing. I said no man you can't stop. Then He said some kind words to me and thats something I will never forget! Hope you enjoy many 220 plus mph runs in Heaven my friend! To the family peace be with you during this difficult time. When I started racing all the guys gave me the cold shoulder but Tom was always laughing and encouraging me on. He was a true gentleman and he will be missed.
