Daily Spotlight - Vendor Information

Becoming a Feature Vendor

Our Daily Spotlight area rotates a featured ad and image once a day from participating photographers and other advertisers.  This service is free to photographers or graphic artists with a related interest to this community AND who meet the requirements listed (see sidebar to the right). This service is also free to new & existing advertisers that purchase either a Standard Ad Campaign or a Spotlight-Only Ad Campaign. All featured photos are displayed with right-click disabled and as a applet insert so as to protect your copyrighted material from mass distribution. 

To participate as a featured vendor, select the "Spotlight Plan" that best suits your needs from the table below.  Also review the information we will need for your "Vendor Profile" as described at the bottom this page. Then stop by the Vendor Sign Up page to submit you profile information online.  Once you have your first batch of photos or images ready, e-mail your pix to us at  boards@dragboatalley.com to get in on the daily rotation!

Once your Vendor Profile is entered and your initial Photo Batch is added into the mix, we'll send you a reminder a few days before your next batch is due.

Submitting a Photo Batch

Photo batches should include jpg or gif images that are sized to fit nicely on the Daily Spotlight page.  Maximum image size is approx. 500 x 600 pixels, file size on disk makes no difference, and feel free to watermark your submitted images if you so desire.  Please zip the appropriate number of images together into one file and email it to the web mistress as noted below.  The number of pictures in each Photo Batch is determined by the "Spotlight Plan" you choose from the table below.  We will also need a caption for each batch, which gets displayed with those images along with your Vendor Profile.

Vendor Profiles

Participating vendors need to initially supply us with some basic info that will be used when your photos or images are displayed on the Daily Spotlight page.  The following information is required for your Vendor Profile:

• Company Name

• Banner Ad image (468 x 60 pixels in jpg or gif format) **

• Website URL to link to

• Sales pitch sentence (1 line max)

• Contact info (4 lines max)

To submit your profile information online stop by the Vendor Sign Up page. 

** Your banner ad image will also be listed in our Advertisers Gallery as a "Featured Vendor". You'll need to include this image with your first batch of photos, or let us know if you need assistance making a banner ad graphic for a small fee.

Advertiser Participation

After purchasing your Ad Campaign, to participate in the Daily Spotlight just submit your Vendor Information and send in an "Advertisers Plan" batch of photos.
